In the 1980s, I consulted with companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Chevron, Levi Strauss & Co., and the President's Office of the University of California. 

In the 1990s, I was recruited as the director of marketing for a start-up ISP and internet infrastructure developer, where I created the marketing plan for a global alliance of ISPs and telephone companies that grew to more than 400 members worldwide and was eventually acquired by iPass.

In 1998, I returned to consulting.
